Nice job comparing and covering the details of each truck. My first RC was the Granite and it's been a super RC. Parts are easy to come by and much of the parts from a 3s Typhon fit perfectly. The MT10 is lighter and does handle like a dream and is great for big jumps. The Gorgon looks like a good time and great value. Your brushless upgrade made it awesome! Perfect for slow motion filming. The flux looks more practical for on-road bashing. The BigRock did quit well over the uneven surface. All the trucks are nice in there own way. Thanks for sharing this cool footage. 🏆

Woah, gotta say, I'm impressed with the steering servo on that knockoff. It's usually the weak spot on Kyosho 4x4's.

I would absolutely love to get into this stuff. Unfortunately, I broke my neck and shattered my clavicle into my right pectoral so severely that it took eight hours just to remove the bone, not including the repairs. I have 18 screws, a titanium clavicle, rotator cuff surgery, six screws, two plates, and some donor bone in my neck. (I loathe drunk drivers.) It's going to take time to heal, so by then, these might be outdated... nevertheless, they are super cool. And mate, I absolutely love your videos. You do phenomenal work and should be proud of your efforts. I think you're amazing. Well-spoken and highly informative... I'm very impressed. I do NOT want anything given to me. I will earn my place and enjoyment in life, one way or another, even if it kills me. Your dedication to your passions has reignited my own. Thanks for reminding me of a passion I had forgotten.

I've got the Big Rock, MT10 & the previous version of the Maverick. I'd have to say that the MT10 has been incredibly durable, I've used it often & hard over about a year & I've only broken a driveshaft due to a rock getting jammed in between the shaft & arm that cut its way through. I've replaced countless differential spurs & crowns on the Big Rock, I've got cheap knock off 4S metal gears in it now & they've lasted well over a year & show no signs of wearing.! It's also as slack, wobbly & loose as my last GF.! 😉 The Maverick was alright, but kept having lots of niggly little things going wrong with it like loose grub screws & easily worn suspension pillow ball sockets leading to very sloppy handling. Funnily enough I actually run my MT10 with the Maverick tyres & bodyshell on it.! 😉 I'd definitely recommend the MT10, it really is very VERY good.!!! Especially if you fit a Surpass KK series 3660/3800kv motor & a Hobbywing WP-SC8 120 amp ESC... Backflips in an instant & wheelies on demand at any speed.! I would say get the brushed version & fit a cheap brushless system in it.!! 2.5x the price of a wl because of the case, garanteed.

Have long supported Hobao over traumas an arrma. When you dont want plastic configuration and the new arrma keeps breaking, you buy hobao the builds are superior out of box, hence you don't need all the upgrades, they're already race n bash ready

@beyondRC Tell me what your thoughts are but I think it's interesting for bashing to go with an rc that has the telescopic universal transmission shafts. If you have dog bones they wear out so fast on some models, same for the drive cups. If you go for the universals, you don't have that issue.

I'm with you I absolutely love the mini z by kyosho but the price is higher than I can go. As for clones I absolutely 💯 percent think they should be available. Simply because not everyone can afford them high dollar cars, so it's not fair really to exclude the less fortunate out of a hobby, it's like fishing get a kid hooked while they are young...and they will love it for life, and eventually one just may get that higher dollar car..it's about the hobby to hell with the ones who disagree...obviously it's NOT ABOUT THE HOBBY TO THEM!!!!!!

I have a Team Magic E5 that I am very happy with but I don't usually see many tests of this truck except on German and French UA-cam channels.

I had one, and it was like 85% as good as the Kyosho, which is not bad at all. However, nothing compares to the JJRC 1/18 for the money right now imho.

I think when this first hit amazon it was like 65usd. I’m with you man.. I can’t justify buying a mini z. Over priced all the way around.

I’d buy this clone (a similar is available but uses bettery pack-different brand (austar ax-8560 around $50-$60) anytime compare to kyosho, upgrades are available and it will be a lot better and still cheaper than kyosho. Or, just buy a hobbyplus crp18 kratos/furitek fury wagon brushless, FMS…Never will I waste my money on an overpriced hard to find and expensive parts kyosho mini 😁

BY the way the steering has a D/R so you can increase your steering angle.

Hmmm...I bet some better electronics and it would be great. I seen another video on it and they were able to fit quite a few official mini z upgrades on it.

I have seen these compared to an actual Mini Z, and the performance is pretty darn close. I'd say it's a good buy if you don't want to spend over $200

It only takes from the brand if people were going to buy the branded in the first place,which in the main they aren't as so expensive.Just my thoughts.

I don’t mind a cheap clone. I think it helps serve as a gateway for people into the hobby. They might be willing to Chuck a few bucks at a cheaper version to try and learn with, then grow from there. Minimal risk, high reward for the hobby as a whole. I also understand the issue from the manufacturer and development side, but as a consumer that’s not my problem. 😂

This lost me when you mentioned triple A batteries, It could be the best rc car in the world, but I have absolutely no interest in using AAA batteries to operate it. FMS has things in this price range that are infinitely superior

I have 2 of these, the green one & white one,branded as Red Spider, which I bought a couple of years ago, change the shocks, fit the Kyosho light kit & away you go, I think they are brilliant little trucks, I have been looking for more but unable to find any👍

My first run I had to flip it over five times and it was always 100 yards away. I got a lot of exercise that day - bogged down in my perlite pit -ordered the LCG super duper no flip chassis - no more racing my fleet footed Bulldogs to flip it back over ~ (their new chew toy)-thank you so much for sharing that monumental video with us- good luck with 30k

Fs racing reely freemen, excat clone of axial scx10 ii, axial parts fit straight on, some say it better the original, but don't shoot the messager,but proof is in the pudding as i own freemen lol, maybe do a comparison between the two, there an idea, jus mention Bernard rc,lol 👍

Ya kyosho is expensive but its worth every penny mini z are so smooth and responsive and kyosho pay for licensing where that bumps the price up
